Spotlight: Angie McMahon on Her Bisexuality, Performing at Glastonbury, and Collaborating With Fred Again
We were thrilled to be invited to Angie McMahon’s sold-out summer gig at Lafayette back in June this year. It felt like an opportunity not to be missed for an episode of our Spotlight micro-docu series with queer creatives. As part of this Nonchalant Spotlight episode, we sat cross-legged on the floor of Angie’s dressing room at Lafayette and carried out a little intimate chat about all things Angie. But before we jump into the Spotlight episode, let’s fill you in on this super cool artist.
Angie’s been riding a wave of success following her critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘Light, Dark, Light Again‘. Her album is about going to the darkest places inside yourself, facing your fears, and discovering something brighter and better. She also performed with Fred again.. at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, with an incredible rendition of their collaborative track.
