Brighton’s getting something big in 2026. But it needs some support to make sure it happens.
It’s called The Queer Post, and it’s a queer-led coworking, dining, and events space that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Designed by and for LGBTQ+ people, it’s going to be equal parts community hub, cultural venue, and creative playground – and it’s about time.
The Queer Post is a multi-use venue aiming to open in spring 2026, right in the middle of Brighton. It’s built for LGBTQ+ freelancers, creatives, founders, remote workers, and anyone who wants to hang out in a space where they can connect with.

Here’s what it’ll include:
- Coworking spaces
- A café, restaurant, and cocktail bar open to the public
- A rooftop terrace with year-round events
- A platform for queer artists, workshops, and talks
- Full accessibility baked in from day one
Memberships will range from desk access to cultural/community memberships. You won’t have to work there to be part of it. Watch the video below for more details on the venue plans.
Who’s Behind It?
Founders Jessie (they/them) and Annie (she/her) are the duo driving The Queer Post from idea to reality. Jessie leads on the creative and strategic side, shaping the vision, building the brand, and locking in partnerships to keep the project bold, intentional, and far from corporate. Annie handles the operational backbone, managing budgets, logistics, and licensing, while building a team rooted in the queer community itself. Together, they’re creating something that’s not just for the community, but powered by it.

The board and backing also include:

Here’s How You Can Help
The team behind this huge project are currently raising funding through Crowdfunder. They need to raise £500,000 to make sure this project goes ahead, and they ask for donations from anyone who would like to see this space brought to life.
