Blood Kiss Martini Recipe With a Twist

Halloween is approaching, so we bring you a dark, seductive, and a little gothic number. Basically, the cocktail version of your ex that still haunts your dreams. Perfect for Halloween, date nights, or any night you want to feel like a queer vampire queen (ummm, er’day).

Bloody cocktail with cobwebs and red lighting - Blood Kiss Martini

Ingredients

  • 45ml vodka (a clean, neutral one works best)
  • 15ml Chambord (black raspberry liqueur)
  • 15ml cranberry juice (unsweetened if you want a sharper bite)
  • 10ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 10ml grenadine or raspberry coulis (for the “blood drip” effect)
  • Ice cubes

Optional garnish

  • Edible red rose (or rose-shaped fruit peel, or dried rose petal)
  • Black sugar for the rim, if you want extra flair

Method

  • Chill your glass: Pop a martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice while you prep.
  • Create the blood effect: Pour a small amount of grenadine or thick raspberry coulis around the inside rim of the glass, letting it drip down like “blood” (Tilt the glass and slowly rotate for a clean streak.)
  • Shake the drink: Add vodka, Chambord, cranberry juice, and lemon juice into a shaker with ice. Shake it like you mean it for 10–15 seconds.
  • Strain and serve: Empty the ice water, then strain your mix into the prepped glass.
  • Garnish: Balance your edible rose delicately on top. If it’s a real rose, make sure it’s organic and pesticide-free – otherwise, admire it but don’t eat it.

Enjoy,
