Did you spot the HER buses? Tell us which type you are

What’s your type? Not the fake answer you give at brunch – the real one. HER, the dating app for queer women, non-binary and trans people, wants to hear it. Its new UK campaign, “Every Type. Yes, Even Yours.”, is a love letter to the specific, surprising and frankly hard-to-explain types that make up sapphic attraction right now.

At the start of October 2026 the campaign went up on TfL buses (and billboards) across London, and according to HER, it’s the first time the word “lesbian” has ever appeared on a TfL campaign. Here’s what you need to know.

What is “Every Type. Yes, Even Yours.”?

The Dyke Renaissance is well and truly here. Openly queer artists like Chappell Roan, Cat Burns, KWN and Doechii are leading the cultural conversation, and dedicated spaces like La Camionera (and Dorothy’s, opening soon) are giving us somewhere to actually go. But while sapphic culture has never been more visible, a lot of the spaces that keep it going are still under pressure.

That’s the gap HER wants to fill. With more than 15 million users worldwide, the app was built by and for the community, and the new campaign is about celebrating the people, places and types behind the moment – and backing them in real life.

The ads are a list of gloriously specific sapphic types – “wolfcut wlw”, “south east sapphic”, “T4T bby”, “bisexual baddie”, “raging lesbian”, “IKAG devotee” and, our personal favourite, “La Camionera stan” – under the line “Your sapphic type just got on HER”. Speaking at the campaign’s launch night, HER’s Social Media Manager, Abi Smith, said the team’s research turned up no previous TfL campaign that had used the word “lesbian” – so in 2026, London is finally getting the memo.

Did you spot one?

If you clocked a HER bus or billboard on your commute this month, we want to see it. Snap it, post it and tag us on Instagram and TikTok – and tell us which type you are. Bonus points if it’s a “raging lesbian” bus pulling up next to your ex.

How did it launch?

HER took the dating app offline on Tuesday 6 October 2026 with a takeover of La Camionera’s Singles Night (we were there, obvs). The evening brought together FLINTA* DJs and collaborators from across London’s dyke scene, an IRL matchmaking service, HER-themed cocktails and a profile-photo booth, for anyone whose current pics are three years and two haircuts out of date.

What HER says

HER’s Head of Brand, Ashley Tick, says the campaign is about more than being seen: “It’s a dream to keep putting sapphic culture on the main stage, but visibility alone isn’t enough. We also want to invest in the people and spaces that sustain our community. That’s the future of HER: bold, visible and showing up for our community in real ways, in real life.”

Whatever your type, yep, even yours, you can find HER on the App Store and Google Play.
