Last Kiss Before Midnight cocktail recipe

Soft, floral, and quietly seductive, a Last Kiss Before Midnight cocktail is the kind of drink perfect for a small New Year’s Eve gathering. Gin-forward but gentle, with elderflower sweetness and a silky finish, it’s celebratory without screaming about it.

Pale, clouded cocktail in a coupe glass, finished with an edible floral garnish.

Method

Dry shake:
Add the gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white (If you’re concerned about using raw egg, aquafaba works just as well) to a shaker with no ice. Shake hard for around 15 seconds to build that soft, silky texture.

Shake again:
Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

Strain:
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass for a smooth, velvety finish.

Garnish:
Gently place a small sprig of edible elderflower (make sure it’s labelled edible, as some elderflower sprigs have been treated and are not edible).

Floral, citrusy, and smooth with a cloud-like foam, Last Kiss Before Midnight feels like the calm moment before the countdown – intimate, elegant, and just a little bit loaded with intention.

Enjoy,
