The storyline

Girls Like Girls follows Coley, the new girl in town, as she falls in love for the first time over the course of one unforgettable summer.

It’s heartfelt, tender, and very much about learning how to accept yourself while the world around you keeps shifting – aka queer adolescence in a nutshell. We’ve been there.

The official tagline says it best:

“Love begins when you let it in.”

Hayley Kiyoko directing

Hayley is the writer and director, which means this isn’t some watered-down adaptation. It’s queer storytelling from someone who’s lived it, made it, and soundtracked it for years. Amen. And the film will feature all-new music from Kiyoko.

Release date
