We have some exciting news that will make your Netflix binge-watching heart flutter. If you loved the drama, romance, and heartfelt moments of “The Ultimatum: Queer Love,” then get ready for more because the show is coming back for a second season!
If you didn’t catch season one, you’re missing out and need to get on that ASAP! We’ll give you a rough overview of the program. Couples on the brink of major relationship decisions come together, and one partner issues an ultimatum: commit to marriage or break up. Over a series of intense episodes, the couples are put through challenges and scenarios, including dating other people within the group, to test their relationships. Season one was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions, focusing on the themes of love, trust, self-discovery, and the complexities unique to queer relationships. To add, the show was packed with drama, ranging from cheating, and lots of arguments and some couples even found themselves losing their partners to other contestants on the show. So if season two is anything like season one, we have a lot to look forward to.
This spinoff series, exclusively featuring women and nonbinary people, is returning with a brand-new 10-episode season. JoAnna Garcia Swisher is back as the host to guide us through all the emotional twists and turns.
Netflix is keeping us on our toes, though. They haven’t dropped the release date yet, so we’ll have to stay tuned. But that means we have more time to rewatch the first season and relive all the iconic moments (and mad drama).
Sign up for our emails and check back with us for more updates, and let’s keep our fingers crossed that Netflix drops the release date soon. Until then, happy binge-watching of season one.
