Pumpkin season might be over – but there’s always room for queer spells, and sapphic soulmates, right? If you’ve been craving a bit of magic in your watchlist – the good kind, with potions, power, and sapphic tension – Witchy Ways is about to become your new obsession.

Directed by Jane Clark (Crazy Bitches, Meth Head), this supernatural queer romance blends charm, humour, and real heart – proving that the most powerful spell is, obviously, falling in love with a witch. Read on to find out more and use the handy jump to links below.

What’s It About?

When Eve (Diora Baird) – a stressed-out brand manager – escapes to her late mother’s mysterious cottage, she meets Danni (Marem Hassler), a captivating neighbour with serious witchy lineage. What starts as an awkward friendship soon turns into something way more magical (and, yes, steamy).

But when Danni’s home and heritage come under threat, Eve has to choose between her world of logic and the unknown pull of love and magic.

Basically: Practical Magic meets The L Word, but with more eyeliner.

The Cast

The film stars Diora Baird (Wedding Crashers, Cobra Kai), Marem Hassler (Riley Parra), Candis Cayne (The Magicians), Guinevere Turner (American Psycho), and more – a dreamy ensemble that nails that mix of fantasy, queer energy, and genuine connection.

Fun fact: Clark and Hassler’s long-time friendship inspired the film’s creation – so yes, the chemistry is real.
