Right, this is not a drill. Tickets for Girls Like Girls, Hayley Kiyoko’s directorial debut, are officially on sale.
If you’ve been following along since the trailer dropped, you know the drill by now. But in case you need the refresher: this is the sun-drenched queer coming-of-age film based on Kiyoko’s iconic 2015 single and her best-selling novel of the same name. She wrote it, she directed it, and she’s scored it with all-new music. Full circle, the way we like it.
The film follows Coley, the new girl in town, as she falls in love for the first time over the course of one unforgettable summer, learning to accept herself along the way. Maya da Costa plays Coley, with Myra Molloy as Sonya, alongside Levon Hawke and Zach Braff.
Girls Like Girls hits theatres on 19 June. Tickets are live now via the official Focus Features ticketing page, where US showtimes are being added city by city – so if your local screening isn’t showing yet, keep checking back.

One thing to flag for those of us this side of the Atlantic: the 19 June date and on-sale tickets are confirmed for the US. A UK release date still hasn’t been announced, so we’re watching this space, and we’ll update you the second it lands.
In the meantime, the album lands first. Girls like girls the album is out 12 June, with first single Collide (feat. Gigi Perez) already out now. So the soundtrack to your summer arrives a week before the film does.
