Lily Allen has teamed up with Lovehoney on Love, Lily, a six-piece edit of toys she tested while touring the UK earlier this year. It’s out now, and it lands almost a year to the day since West End Girl came out.
The line-up leans heavily on clit toys (good news for us all), led by a heart-shaped toy that does both suction and licking. There’s also one very specific in-joke: a pale blue polka-dot butt plug, finally made for real after starting life as a USB stick on the album merch. Here’s what’s in it.
What is the Love, Lily collection?
It’s a handpicked edit of six products, each one tested by Lily and given her stamp of approval. The aim, according to Lovehoney, is to get more women treating self-pleasure as part of self-care rather than something to feel guilty about.

“I think women in particular can find it difficult to ask for what they want,” Lily said. “When I was younger, I know I did. We don’t always prioritise our own desires because we focus on pleasing others, doing our jobs properly and looking after our friends and family.”
It isn’t her first time working with the brand. Lily first collaborated with Lovehoney in 2020, after writing openly about pleasure in her book, and says the response still comes up. “Instinctively, I think they’re going to be talking about my music but they’re actually talking about the toys.”
What’s in it?
Our pick: Lovehoney Heart Duo – £59.99

If you only look at one thing in this edit, make it this. The Heart Duo is a discreet heart-shaped toy that opens into two parts, one for clitoral suction and one for licking sensations. That combination is about as close as a toy gets to oral, which makes it the most sapphic thing in the collection by a distance.
Switch between the two depending on your mood, or bring it into play with a partner. It’s also Lily’s pick for travel, because it’s two toys in one and “no-one would ever know what lies inside.”

Womanizer Enhance – £99

The latest model of the clitoral suction toy Lily has previously credited with changing her life, now with more intensity and vibration levels. Womanizer markets it on a 100% orgasm rate, which is a bold claim to put on a box.
“This is the OG for me,” said Lily. “I wrote about Womanizer in my book and it genuinely did change my life.”
The Peach – £59.99

Velvety soft, pretty enough to leave out, and fitted with patented clitoral suction technology. “Who doesn’t love a juicy peach for dessert?” said Lily. “It’s not meant to live in a drawer.”
Lovehoney Pleasure Trip Wand – £74.99

A curved, pale pink vibrator shaped to reach the spots that are harder to get to. Lily’s verdict: “It looks a little like a pink microphone. Maybe because it performs?”
Lovehoney Enjoy Advent Calendar – £99.00

Twenty-four doors of surprises, including a feather tickler and a menthol orgasm balm. Lily pitches it at couples who find choosing toys together a bit awkward, but there’s nothing stopping you working through it solo.
“I love the idea of treating yourself to something new every day,” she said.

The polka-dot butt plug – £39.99

The one fans have been waiting for. “The butt plug was a reference on the album that we then made into a limited collection of USBs, which became a really popular collector’s item,” Lily explained. “So we thought it would be fun to make it properly and launch it almost a year to the day since we released West End Girl.”
How the collection came together
The edit was put together on tour, while Lily was playing the London Palladium and staying in a hotel suite. Room service turned up with an enormous box of Lovehoney toys to try, all of which needed charging before she got back from the show.
“There weren’t enough plug sockets, so I unplugged everything – the lamps, the TV, even the phone to make room,” she said. “It ended up quite atmospheric in there, all those pretty little lights blinking in the darkness.”
To launch the range, Lily has been photographed as Postmistress of the Lovehoney Sorting Office, in a baby-pink dress and her signature platforms, surrounded by boxes of the collection.
What the research says
Alongside the launch, Lovehoney commissioned a Censuswide survey of 2,000 people across the UK. Some of the headline findings:
- Only 2 in 5 women prioritise their own pleasure, and 20% have never spoken to a partner about it
- Just 40% of women say they understand what works for their bodies, and only 13% feel confident about the different types of orgasm
- Only 15% have used a clitoral suction toy
- 60% of women have never talked to their friends about their sexual pleasure
- Men make time for self-love twice as often as women each month (10 times on average, compared to 5)
- Almost half of women think butt plugs are for men only
The survey is framed largely around women versus men and doesn’t break out queer women, so not every stat will map neatly onto a sapphic bedroom. But the bits about not knowing what works for you, and never talking about it with your friends, are pretty universal.
And for the record, butt plugs are for anyone who wants one. If you’re new to them, start small, use plenty of lube, and only ever use a plug with a flared base.
